When connecting raceways and routing cables in one or more files which there are a couple of scenarios which need to be considered before the auto routing functionality will be successful:

Scenario 1

When you are connecting the end of a raceway to the middle of a raceway when the raceways are not in the same design file.

In this case when you want to connect the conduit from the end of the raceway to the middle of a ladder in another design file, then the air gap (virtual connection) needs to be in the same design file as the ladder. Otherwise the auto routing function will fail at this point.

Scenario 2

When connecting two raceways, both in the middle of the raceway, when they are not in the same design file.

In this situation the raceways in each design file would have an air gap which should connect together.
